Frazetta's Death Dealer Comes to Life

My favorite artist of all time is hands down Frank Frazetta. A print of his iconic Death Dealer painting hangs proudly on my office wall. Kabuki Studios has brought the Death Dealer to life in both 1/50th and 1/24th scale resin.

Modelzona 2015

Today was my first trip to the IPMS Modelzona Model show and competition. I entered 5 models: Space Wolf Drop Pod, Space Wolf Rhino, Imperial Guard Salamander, Imperial Guard Wounded Soldier, and a Kabuki Miniatures 'Napoleon X'. To my surprise I took home medals for three of my models in two categories.

My Space Wolf Rhino took first place in the Sci-Fi category.

My homemade Imperial Guard Salamander took second place in the Sci-Fi category.

My Kabuki Miniatures 'Napoleon X' took Third Place in Figures - Sci-Fi & Fantasy category.

Kabuki Models - Napoleon-X

Sat down to paint some Imperial Guard and ended up starting and finishing the Napoleon-X model from Kabuki Models instead.  I'm thinking about using him for the Astropath or Master of the Fleet in my IG army.  Fun model to paint, well detailed.  Note that if you plan on using the Kabuki Models in your IG army the scale is a little off.  The Kabuki miniatures run true to scale whereas the GW miniatures are a bit bulky.
