For Sale - Catachan Leman Russ
I need to make way on my shelf for more of my Pardus 8th Armored Regiment so I am selling off my Leman Russ. It has a custom made barrel which can be swapped out for either a standard Battle Cannon, Punisher Gatling Cannon, or Demolisher Cannon. If interested stop by the listing on ebay and give it a look. I hope it finds a good home.

Ork Looted Leman Russ - WIP
Out here in the Valley of the Sun the heat of Phoenix Arizona can have some unexpected results. Say for example you leave your Imperial Guard army in your car one day, after a late night of wargaming. You may return to your car in the morning to find that your Leman Russ has melted, yes... melted. So what does one do with a horribly warped Leman Russ? Make it a looted wagon of course! Any critiques and suggestions are welcome. I think I'm about done with the tank itself. I am working on making some grots out of green stuff to man the sponsons and a large ork to command the tank.
Tank traps are mounted to front of the tank using a couple of I-beams. A battle cannon was scratch built from styrene tube and is removable to allow for weapons swaps. An oil drum has been converted into a rocket launcher.
A deck is added to the rear end of the tank for transport. The exhausts are rerouted around the deck.
A lascannon power pack powers a spot light. Bits of worne styrene are 'riveted' about the sides of the hull and used to decorate the front of the track guards.
Green stuff was used to create weld lines, styrene rods were bent using the heat of cigarette lighter, and guitar string connects a spotlight to the turret.
Guitar string and Imperial Guard flamer packs were used to detail the engine compartment.
Using some orky pictures for reference, I cut a few ork icons out of thin sheets of styrene.
A great deal of the wear and tear inflicted on the styrene was achieved by chewing on it between my molars.
Here I swapped the driver's position and forward weapon. I tore apart one end of a styrene tube and further bent the ends after warming them with a lighter to represent an exploded cannon barrel.

Imperial Guard - Leman Russ Battle Tank
I've been fairly busy lately, playing and painting but neglecting blogging. This tank has been a long time coming, I've finally finished one of the Leman Russ Battle Tanks. This Model is equipped with my custom cannon collar which allows for quick swapping between the Battle Tank, Punisher, Demolisher, and Vanquisher cannons.
I used a tank accessory kit from Tamayo, necklace chain, wax rope, and decals for detail. It was painted using the hairspray technique for added weathering effects. For additional weathering I used dry brushing techniques, detailed application of metallic colors, and I applied dry pigments from Secret Weapon Miniatures. It was all topped off with multiple coats of clear matte finish.

Let there be Punisher Cannons!
I wanted a gatling cannon I could hot swap on my Russ's so I sculpted my own and with a little RTV silicone put a mold together and got to casting.
I'm not entirely happy with the cast. A few bubbles were picked up during the molding process and thus carried on to the castings. I plan on making another mold in the future but for now these are good enough for personal use. Once I have a better mold completed I plan on making this commercially available.
Leman Russ Scratch Cannon Mount
I recently purchased a Leman Russ Annihilator from Ebay. Since the Annihilator comes with a twin-linked lascannon on the turret I easily swap the cannon for other variants. So, using scratch styrene I constructed a cannon mount. Using this I can swap out any of the variants shown in my previous posts.

Leman Russ Battle Tank
After acquiring two Leman Russ Battle Tanks on Ebay I wanted to add some adaptability to them. My first thought was to go with some type of magnet system but considering the basis of any cannon is a tube, I went with a collar system instead. The idea being that a single size collar sits in place of the cannon and other attachments slip onto/into that one.
I started by cutting off the original cannon, which had already been modified into a Vanquisher by the previous owner. Onto this I attached a short collar made of 7/16th inch tube styrene from Evergreen Scale Models. I can slip alternate cannons into/onto this collar changing the Leman Russ for whatever threat awaits it.
The Punisher Gatling Cannon was constructed out of 1/16th inch, 1//8th inch 3/8th inch and 7/16th inch styrene tubing.
To make the Demolisher Cannon I used three different diameter tubes. The outermost is 1/2" in diameter and 7/16" long. Inside that is a 7/16" diameter tube cut just a couple of millimeters shorter than the outer tube. Inside that is another tube 3/8" in diameter and 7/16" long. Once glued together (one inside the other) you get a short little barrel that has a 7/16" groove which the slip collar slides right into.
To make the Battle Cannon I used a length of 3/8" tube with a small length of 7/16" tube for the muzzle brake. The vents in the muzzle brake were cut out using a razor saw, hobby knife, and my miter box.
