The son of an avid scale modeler, I grew up with model building and painting as a regular pastime. It wasn't until the early 90s that I found Warhammer 40k and started painting my first Space Marines. A lucky find at a swap meet, in the form of a box full of various Games Workshop models, introduced me to Orks, Eldar, Tyranids, and the Imperial Guard. I've been painting ever since.
I spent a couple of years painting models, selling them on ebay, and then buying some more. In addition to Games Workshop I also painted Rackman Miniatures, Warmachine, and Confrontation. I did a little bit of commission work too. It wasn't until 2013 that I first learned to play 40k. Although I don't play very often I'm constantly building my armies.
Lately I've been branching out into other armies and other model manufactures. I've also started to enter the competitive painting/modeling circuit picking up a few wins in the process. Along the way I've learned a lot from hobby magazines, other hobby blogs, and my father. My goal is to share the techniques and skills that I've learned along the way with other modelers and gamers.
my kid is so cool.
